Contractor Contacts Created / Entered In Field

It would be helpful to me if Streamline would allow contractor contacts created and entered in the field to be saved in the database for future retrieval.  I understand that currently the only way to have them remain in the system is by adding them in the admin tab.  Is there any way this could be achieved?  Thanks.
