Improving Your Streamline App Sync Experience

The Streamline app gives you the ability to perform inspections in the field and transmit that data to administrators and customers quickly.  Upon completion of an inspection and syncing the data to the Streamline Admin portal, inspection reports are sent to customers and re-inspections are scheduled quickly.  A reliable internet connection is required for the successful transmission of this data.

Your sync experience is affected by the quality of your internet connection.  If your cellular data or Wi-Fi connection is poor or unstable, you may experience long sync times or sync failures.  Some inspectors experience sync issues because they connect to the internet through their cell phone hotspot in Low Data Mode.   You can find more information on Low Data Mode and how to disable it, at https://www.businessinsider.com/low-data-mode-iphone.

Should you find yourself with a poor internet connection, you can delay syncing your iPad until you return to the station or anywhere a strong Wi-Fi connection exists.   You can even sync in the morning and import your inspections, perform the inspections, and then sync at the end of the day when necessary.  When operating this way, we recommend only importing the inspections that you plan to perform that day.

One of the things that makes Streamline unique is the ability to work offline where no connection is available.  Other inspection apps require a continuous internet connection to complete inspections.  Streamline allows you to work offline, even in remote locations where no data connection exists.
