Configuring Inspections Properly So that a Violation Automatically Schedules a Reinspection
Inspections are associated with templates in Streamline. In order for the inspection to automatically schedule a reinspection when a violation is entered by the inspector in the mobile app, the template to which the initial inspection is connected must be set to schedule a reinspection. Follow the following steps in Admin to configure the template properly so that the system knows to automatically schedule a reinspection.
Under the Properties tab for the property in question, select “Inspections” on the left side of the page.
Find the template associated with the inspection. In the case of the example, it’s the “Fire Code Violation” template.
Go to Templates to find the appropriate template. To do so, click “Templates” at the top of the screen.
Find the appropriate template from the list and click “Set Re-inspections.” From here, you will be able to tell the system when a reinspection should automatically be triggered.
Step 2) Check the template reinspection settings.
You can also configure Streamline to schedule multiple reinspections by checking the “Multiple Re-inspection settings” box. Enter the appropriate data (Description, Previous Inspection Number, and Number of days) and click the “Add” at the button left of the window. Please note that the initial inspection is always counted as 0 by Streamline. Thus, Previous Inspection Number should be 0 for the first reinspection, 1 for the second, 2 for the third, and so forth.
This last step can be repeated to add more re-inspections.
